Curves

The curve editor

Switch a fan to Curve mode and drag points on the chart directly — no typing temperature/percent pairs into number boxes. The chart also marks the live temperature and the curve’s current operating point, so you can see exactly what the fan is doing right now against the shape you drew.

Curve sources

A curve is driven by a temperature reading you choose:

  • CPU or GPU — the obvious choices for cooling the part that’s actually heating up.
  • Max of CPU/GPU — whichever is hotter at the moment wins, useful for a case-fan curve that should react to either.
  • Any other sensor the board exposes — liquid-cooling loop temperature, a motherboard zone, a drive — for fans that aren’t really about the CPU or GPU at all.

The 90°C failsafe

Regardless of what any curve or profile says, every fan is forced to full speed the instant any monitored temperature hits 90°C, and stays there until it drops back down. This can’t be disabled from a curve — it’s a hard floor under everything else, including Fixed mode and the Silent profile.
